Opening the tournament with a star-studded field The 2024 Jonsson Workwear Open got underway with the Pro-Am at the Glendower Golf Club in Edenvale on Tuesday, 5 March. Some of South Africa’s fan-favourite household names and sporting heroes – including John Smit, Francois Pienaar, Pat Lambie and Victor Matfield to name a few - took to their tees alongside the golfing pros, making for a thrilling start to the tournament. From the inviting selection of refreshments served throughout the day, to the five-star assistance on offer every step of the way, the event’s celebrated guests were treated to a red-carpet experience. Of course, on the fairway, the VIPs got down to business, putting their golfing talents to the test against the professionals, with the day concluding with a celebratory prize-giving dinner.
