The experience we’re looking for…

  • The ability to sew a complete garment from either a sketch or sample.
  • Must be able to work on all machines in the sample set

Working hours

Mon to Thurs: 7am to 4:25pm

Fri: 7am to 4pm

JONSSON WORKWEAR DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHER DURBAN

The Marketing Team at JONSSON WORKWEAR is on the lookout for a dynamic individual to run the photographic portfolio. Unlike most Companies we do everything in house – our own Brand Management, Graphic Design, Videography and Photography allowing individuals to be creative and challenged.

We’re looking for someone who….

  • Is energetic and creative with a great sense of design and attention to detail.
  • Experienced in product and lifestyle photography.
  • Able to immerse him/herself in the business and develop, execute and deliver the company’s images used for all advertising and promotions.
  • Has a thorough understanding of both ambient & studio flash photography.
  • Knowledgeable and experienced using either Nikon/Canon Professional DSLR systems.
  • Owns their own, suitable camera.
  • Experienced using studio flash heads – Elinchrom, Broncolour and Profoto.
  • Has advanced product photography skills – styling of garments and lighting for a variety of reflective fabrics, trims and accessories.
  • Is able to produce and replicate studio lighting set-ups quickly and efficiently.
  • Maintain an organized and concise library of all JONSSON WORKWEAR photography. Resize and allocate different formats & sizing where necessary.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of all products as well as keeping up to date with garment specifications and improvements.
  • Able to scout their own models, locations and must be able to put people at ease so that they are comfortable in front of the camera.
  • Foster good communication with all areas in the business and maintain a good relationship with suppliers.
  • Graphic design skills to accommodate for catalogue design, digital posts, emailers, print signage & posters.

The experience we’re looking for….

  • Preferably 3-5 years’ experience in photography and design.
  • Degree or Diploma in Photography
  • Higher qualification in graphic design / desktop publishing.
  • Adobe Creative Suite
  • Microsoft Office including Excel
  • Project Management skills
  • A proven ability to plan, organise, and good customer relationships.

Taking ownership of the full maintenance function for the Distribution Centre in Kempton Park where deliverables will include:

  • Maintenance Management: Implementing maintenance programs, systems and processes; Maintenance reporting; implementing new repair and maintenance methods; leading and directing external contractors for satisfactory and effective performance; investigating all maintenance complaints and incidents; contributing towards the preparation of the maintenance budget; controlling maintenance expenditure.
  • Inspection and Audits: Ensuring preventative maintenance programs with scheduled inspections of all assets, buildings and infrastructure are carried out timeously; completing condition audits of all assets, buildings and infrastructure.
  • Health, Safety and Environment Compliance: Ensuring safe working practices and safety regulations; full compliance for all assets, buildings and infrastructure.
  • People Leadership & Direction: Allocation and monitoring of daily maintenance task; maintenance training; performance standards and agreements; ensuring policies, procedures, work rules and codes of conduct.

  • Is highly organised with good planning skills.
  • Enjoys dealing with various stakeholders with a natural ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Passionate about excellence and attention to detail.
  • Has a sense of urgency, prepared to put in the work to get things completed on time.
  • Is practical and enjoys being hands-on.
  • Able to work extended hours and available after hours when required.

The experience we’re looking for…

  • 3 years’ experience in a team leadership role essential
  • Advanced broad technical exposure/experience
  • Exposure to a Warehouse environment advantageous
  • Experience/exposure with conveyor systems and racking, forklift machinery and electrical, plumbing and building infrastructure highly advantageous
  • Grade 12 with trade qualification in mechanics / electrical – N3
  • Has a driver’s licence, own reliable vehicle and passport
